Granite Falls, Indian Arm

A few pics from a recent 2-day kayaking adventure exploring the hidden reaches of the Indian Arm. From Deep Cove we paddled North for 4 hours (along the west shoreline) taking in the many waterfalls along the way and were lucky enough to have inquisitive seals playing along side the kayak while bald headed eagles soared overhead. Simply incredible.

We eventually reached the imposing Granite Falls – a 300ft wall of water cascading down a large granite face – where we set up camp for the night.

On the way back we followed the east shoreline to get a close up view of the redundant power station and to explore the small collection of islands that sit opposite Deep Cove.

Anyone want to go halfs on buying this and turning it into a fancy hotel?
